Climate in Doolin – Visitors often ask ‘When is the best time of year to go to Doolin?’ We believe that every season offers something different, the weather and the light change our landscape dramatically, with no two days alike – you will see & experience new sights throughout the changing of the seasons.

Doolin, like the rest of Ireland is susceptible to changeable weather. In general the climate is warm and temperate, we do experience significant rainfall & even in the driest month there can be much rain.
Here are some average weather facts we collected from our historical climate data:
- On average, the warmest month is August.
- On average, the coolest month is January.
- October is the wettest month. This month should be avoided if you don’t like too much rain ?
- April is the driest month.
Our advice; expect the unexpected! Many light layers of clothing are easy to take off/put on as the weather changes quickly. Never leave the house without a lightweight, waterproof coat!
