Lahinch Art Gallery was established in 1980 by Carmel Kenny. Carmel was a patron of the arts in North Clare for many years and in 1980 she opened Lahinch Art gallery in an area in Kenny Woollen Mills. The Lahinch Art Gallery is the fulfilment of her desire to provide an outlet for aspiring Irish artists. She has fostered their careers by giving them their first professional exhibition space and has watched them prosper and grow. Lahinch Art gallery specializes in Irish Art by Irish artists.
