How long have you been running this B&B, and what do you love most about it?
I have been running my B@B for nearly 40 years, I love taking care of my guests and helping to make their stay in Doolin a memorable one.
What's your favourite local dish or beverage that guests must try while they're here?
The favourite local dish is Guinness Stew and a pint of Stout.
How do you ensure guests feel at home and comfortable during their stay?
I make my guests feel my home is their home and they love this.
Are there any interesting stories or historical facts about your B&B that guests might find fascinating?
My guests enjoy all my stories and that we are 9 generations in Doolin the original of the species.
A memorable experience- 2 of my guests came to Doolin for the music and to meet local people and share in our local community, they loved it so much they came back and got married here and return every 2 years since.
If a visitor has only one day in Doolin, what activities and places would you recommend to make the most of their time?
For one day in Doolin, visit the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin Cave and a few hours on Inis Oirr. Enjoy a night of real traditional Irish music played by our local musicians- not to be missed.
Is there a message or invitation you would like to extend to potential guests considering a visit to Doolin?
I feel the early part of the season- March April May- our guests experience the real sense of the Doolin community. June, July, Aug can be so busy and this time of year shares a different experience.
Off the beaten path- Tra leathain a truly unique experience so quiet, peaceful and totally unique.
