StoneCutters Kitchen Family Restaurant
Situated just 1.5km north of the Cliffs of Moher on the R478, Stonecutters Kitchen is a family run, bistro style, mid-price range, restaurant set in a 100 year old traditionally built stone cottage. It offers a warm welcome to the whole family from friendly local staff, outside seating with views of the Wild Atlantic Way and Winners of Georgina Campbell Family Restaurant of the Year 2016. The Restaurant is child friendly with not only providing an outside play area alongside the outside seating but also offering a unique kids loyalty scheme “Skids for Kids”, where children receive tokens when they order food – healthier food ordered the more tokens they get – then they can cash in the tokens for toys at the end.
The Burren Food Fayre – each year we’re delighted to showcase a special StoneCutters Kitchen pop-up café at the Burren Food Fayre. For this year’s ‘Taste without Waste’ theme, we will be actively avoiding using takeaway cups and plates etc. and will be attempting some portion control by asking people how much they will eat so we can avoid food waste. See you there!

We the owners Karen and Myles Duffy moved to Clare in 1992 and opened StoneCutters Kitchen in 2001. We have between us over 55 years’ experience in the service industry and a particular passion for looking after people and making them happy.
At StoneCutters we endeavour to provide a quality product for you and your family. We make almost everything on our menus ourselves, and source as much as we can locally. We want to give you the best value possible, while providing you with outstanding comfort food. When you have finished we want you to feel like you have just had a big hug from your mammy!!

Our Food:
From fresh Irish salmon, warm lunch salads to gourmet sandwiches, dreamy desserts to a varied wine list and barista coffee menu, StoneCutters Kitchen has something for everyone – especially youngsters, with its award-winning children’s menu.
“the food is tasty and accessible, the atmosphere is lively and sociable, and the staff are simply superb.
What the Stonecutters excels in is offering dishes that are familiar, but which they serve with their own twist. Simple things like fishcakes, and lentil burgers, and fish and chips, need to be done well, and here owners Karen and Myles anchor the cooking with excellent sourcing – lots of the best County Clare artisan foods – and by doing smart stuff like making sure the salad leaves are crisp and fresh, that the beef and Guinness stew is hearty and welcoming…..”

For Kids:
We offer a warm welcome with our award winning children’s menu, toys inside, high chairs for the little ones, a toddler play area and a garden for the bigger kids complete with our own pirate ship!!!
We have a unique kids loyalty scheme called ‘SKids for Kids’ where children get tokens when they order food and specific drinks, the healthier the food the more tokens they can get. They can cash in their tokens for toys, they can usually get some of the smaller things in one visit however they can save up the tokens and cash in when they have enough for the bigger items. It has proved to be very popular with children and parents as it encourages them to order healthier options. It gives the staff a chance to engage with the kids and make their experience as much fun as possible.
