The best Bed & Breakfasts, Inns and Small Hotels in Ireland have been revealed for 2023, as TripAdvisor announces the winners of its Travellers’ Choice Awards. We are so proud to announce that 6 Doolin businesses who are members of Doolin Tourism have made it into the Top 25 B&Bs and Inns in Ireland category, and the Top Small Hotels in Ireland category.

It’s no secret that Doolin is a hub of warm and welcoming Irish hospitality, and it’s been a wonderful few years for the village, in terms of national and global recognition for that. In 2019, Doolin was awarded Fáilte Ireland’s Destination Award for Excellence in Customer Service – the first village in Ireland to receive this award. Since then, Doolin and its local businesses have continued to deliver a warm welcome and an exceptional visitor experience, despite the trying times for the tourism industry these past couple of years due to the pandemic.
Furthermore, at the start of 2020, Doolin was selected as one of the “Top 10 Most Welcoming Places on Earth” as part of the Booking.com Traveller Review Awards 2020. Since then, Doolin businesses have been ranking highly in the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards with 3 businesses awarded in 2020, 4 businesses awarded in 2021, and 6 in 2022. Again, 6 of its local businesses have made it into the Top 25 B&Bs and Inns and the Top Small Stays in Ireland, in the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2023. In the Top 25 B&Bs and Inns category, Sheedy’s Doolin ranked #1 in Ireland. Daly’s House B&B followed at #2 in Ireland, next was Twin Peaks B&B at #17 in Ireland and Riverside Cottage came in at #23. In the Best Small Hotel category, Ballinalacken Castle Country House ranked #10 in Ireland, followed by Hotel Doolin at #14 in Ireland. Doolin Inn also ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor- an amazing achievement! The Inn was also voted “No. 5 in Ireland’s Top B&B 10 B&Bs for 2023“ in the Independent.ie Reader Travel Awards.
The new awards are a testament to the hard work and warm hospitality from the local award-winning businesses, their staff, and also the wider community of Doolin. A big congratulations to all involved!
