Doolin Businesses Rated ‘Best of the Best’ in the Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Awards 2021
It’s no secret that Doolin is a hub of warm and welcoming Irish hospitality, and it’s been a wonderful couple of years for the village, in terms of national and global recognition for that. In 2019, Doolin was awarded Fáilte Ireland’s Destination Award for Excellence in Customer Service – the first and only village in Ireland to receive this award. Since then, Doolin and its local businesses have continued to deliver a warm welcome and an exceptional visitor experience, despite the trying times for the tourism industry this past year due to the pandemic. Furthermore, at the start of 2020, Doolin was selected as one of the “Top 10 Most Welcoming Places on Earth” as part of the Booking.com Traveller Review Awards 2020. Now, 4 of its local businesses have made it into the Top 25 B&Bs and Inns and the Top Small Hotels in Ireland, in the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2021. In the Top 25 B&Bs and Inns category, Daly’s House ranked #1 in Ireland, #8 in Europe and #19 in the world. Sheedy’s Doolin followed at #3 in Ireland, followed by Doolin Inn at #10 in Ireland. In the Top Small Hotels category, Hotel Doolin ranked #15 in Ireland. The new awards are a testament to the hard work and warm hospitality from the local award-winning businesses, their staff, and also the wider community of Doolin.
